MM Comedian Spooking At Surf
SOLD!!! THANK YOU!!!
This handsome boy is currently up for offers on MH$P! Please see his ad here: https://modelhorsesalespages.com/view.asp?id=1462110 for more info!
For your consideration, I present fresh from the studio, micro mini Comedian done to a spicy red pinto gelding spooking at the surf! As someone said of him "IT TOUCHED MY FOOT!!" 😆
MM Comedian is the Micro version of Sue Kern's Traditional scale 'The Comedian'. He is a 3D print, one of her signature 'sea glass' blue resin prints, which I utilized to create the ocean on his base. He has been meticulously prepped, removing seams & print lines, & correcting any inconsistencies. He is finished to a bright red pinto in oils, pastel chalk, acrylics, & colored pencils. Sprayed with Testor's Dull Cote, & eyes, hooves, & nose glossed with Testor's Gloss Cote. Details include multi-toned detailed eyes, hair-by-hair mapping on all of his marking, chestnuts, & detailed shod hooves with clinches. As stated before, his base utilizes the blue resin he is printed of to make the surf, with waves created over it (& off his foot) using color tinted 5 minute epoxy resin. The water laps over real sand & sea shell (chip; I couldn't find any shells small enough), sealed in place by mixing it with Dull Cote. The ocean & the base edge have been glossed with Gloss Cote.
As I was taking sales pics, I finally managed to drop him just right to break that leg which had had me on edge the whole time I've worked on him. It has been repaired, with a steel sewing pin inserted & super glued into place. Simply with the nature of his pose, & his being one solid printed piece with his base, that leg was, & is always going to be, a weak point. I personally think he is sturdier now with the pin reinforcement. But do be aware of the repair & sculptural weakness if that influences your interest in him. I will not be held responsible if he breaks again in the future.
Please be aware that picture color varies from monitor to monitor & that color may not be exact to what you see on your screen. My work is LSQ proven & BF Best CM Contest proven (winner in '17, finalist in '19). But as LSQ is subjective, I do not guarantee any piece to be LSQ. I would not hesitate to show him in a heartbeat (& with a magnifying glass!) though!
No sales to minors (I am happy to work with their adults though!)
Policies: I accept Pay Pal, & USPS MOs. I will entertain the possibility of personal checks if I have done business with you in the past, please ask. PP payment by goods & services is due within 48 hours. USPS MO payment is due within a week, with some wiggle room since the PO is so unreliable at this time (I'd suggest sending it priority). Time payments are accepted up to 90 days, minimum $75.00 down payment, all monies received are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Shipping: The model will be shipped as soon as full payment has cleared. I do prefer to ship no later than Wednesdays to hopefully prevent models from sitting in the PO over the weekend. Shipping will be exact to your location. I am willing to ship out of country, but of course it will cost more. I am not accountable for mishaps in out of country shipping. The model will be packed to the very best of my ability & fully insured. I cannot be held responsible for any breakage or loss while in the possession of the USPS or other shipping entities. NO RETURNS.
I will not be held responsible for any illness contracted by possible mail contamination.
I reserve the right to refuse business with anyone, without explanation.
All that being said, I am genuinely quite happy to answer questions & work with you if I can!
OFFERS:
Opening offer is $300.00. Bids are at a minimum of $5 increments. I will list your offer by initial unless requested to list by number (i.e. Bidder 3).
