So the tally for the day is: Aggie; both 1sts, 'Honey' (CM G2 Shetland); 2nd breed, 'Carmen' (Vingerling MM Friesian); both 4ths. Kati has several of my horses too that did well: Tura (CM repaint Susecion); 3rd breed, Gala (100% CM Misty to jumping Fjord); both 1sts, Bindaxtria (Oceania AR);2nd workmanship! Kati also had a good time with several OFs including her glossy Smart And Shiny taking home the OA reserve for her!
Hey hey! Look who's back posting again already! I didn't think I'd do it! Just had to report that my Trad OS Clyde mare SWF Dream Again, aka Aggie, has made me proud today! She & two smaller horses were proxy shown for me today at the Runway Live 2015 in Waterford MI by a friend of mine, Kati. Aggie won both first for breed & first for workmanship & picked up her NAN cards in the AR British Draft class! Whee! & she apparently made a fan out of one of the judges who, with a friend, came over to see her at Kati's table later! :) So the tally for the day is: Aggie; both 1sts, 'Honey' (CM G2 Shetland); 2nd breed, 'Carmen' (Vingerling MM Friesian); both 4ths. I've also torn into my Khemo! This will be the last pic you will see of him! I am going to be keeping him secret for the Challenge!

Well it's taken me a while to finally get to around to starting to post on my blog, but here I am! I will try my hardest to keep up with it, but I know I will get distracted! SO! Well, part of the big doings for me lately has been my workroom itself! I have ocupied a small spare bedroom for many years now, but this is the year it finally will look more like a studio! For the past week & a half-ish (not counting the month of slowly getting everything OUT) has been devoted to painting the walls the starkest, brightest, glossiest WHITE I could find, pulling up the carpeting (*victory cheer*), & painting the floor white with porch paint. I had wanted to put down white vinyl flooring, but being the oddity out there & WANTING an all white floor that shows everything, I couldn't find any & wasn't going to dish out for a sort-of-white floor. The porch paint is lovely & white, so I'm good! Here are some pictures... yes, not a very model-horsey start to my blog! Brace yourself for the first pic! A workroom is NOT a simplistic scene! It looks like a dump, but I assure you, the greater majority of the detritus is not only needed but also used! To date, I am just about finished; I ran out of wall paint in the 'closet' (the space will hold shelves & not actually be used as, nor has it been for years, a closet)... my paint came in today so I need to pick it up & finish that, & add another coat to some of the trim. Then the painting will be DONE! Once the light is put in I can officially start moving everything back in! I have moved a few thing back in so I can keep working, but it's still very empty! Ok! Now to end on a horsey note! ;) I had been hunting for a decently priced Khemosabi, yes you read that right! I decided to do the Khemo makeover challenge that MEPSA is holding. I finally found one at a price I'd pay & the pitiful looking critter just landed in my post box today! Yich! What a creature! I have big plans for him! Hopefully I will have him finished in time for the contest. He will take lower priority to paying commissions, so he will get shoved down the queue if others need done. But, I have a nice idea for him & plan to get cracking on him soon. Oh yes! & as I was clearing out my workroom, cleaning a top shelf full of old OS 'blue prints' & photo showing miscellanea I unearthed an old, never finished SM Fjord gelding OS! He actually looks really good for being as old as he is! Five to seven years?? & for being out of Sculpey, he held up pretty well! I never had much success with Sculpey & quit using it five years ago. So many of my horses came out of the oven cracked & are still cracking to this day. I decided to stick this fella in the oven to see if I could salvage him, he didn't crack much at all! So I will be finishing him up with epoxy & hopefully have him cast as an AR at some point! Someone came up with a name for him: Munin - one of Odin's ravens, memory. So, meet SWF Munin! :) |
